Zcoin’s Sigma privacy protocol will be activating today on Zcoin mainnet. Sigma privacy protocol will be a replacement to Zerocoin privacy protocol which had couple of security issues that were exploited by bad actors against privacy coins and to forge zero-knowledge proofs and create coins out of thin air . This vulnerability was discovered by Zcoin team.
Sigma privacy protocol will reduce proof size from 25 kB to 1.5 kB and will improve the security layer. More details about Sigma privacy protocol features can be found here
